BERRY HARVEST CASUAL / FRUIT PICKER & PACKER
Position Summary Mountain Blue is seeking motivated, reliable, and hardworking individuals to join our team for the blueberry harvest season. As a Harvest Casual, you will be responsible for picking and/or packing high-quality berries. No prior farming experience is required, but a strong work ethic and good physical condition are essential. Key Responsibilities Picking: Carefully harvest ripe, firm, and undamaged blueberries according to quality standards. Packing: Sort, weigh, and pack berries into punnets/cartons in the packing shed. Quality Control: Identify and discard unmarketable or damaged fruit. Safety & Compliance: Maintain farm hygiene standards and strictly comply with Work Health & Safety (WHS) procedures. Key Requirements & Eligibility Valid Australian Work Rights (Working Holiday Visa 417/462, Student Visa, or Permanent Resident/Citizen). Physical fitness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions (bending, standing, and lifting). Good attention to detail and hand-eye coordination. Ability to work effectively in a multicultural team environment. Self-provided transport and local accommodation (essential). What We Offer Fair wages paid under the Horticulture Award 2020.
